OshiSocial Community Guidelines

📋 Overview

OshiSocial focuses on VR creators but welcomes general posting that follows our rules and US law. We want everyone to feel comfortable here!

Note

These guidelines are designed to maintain a safe, welcoming, and creative environment for all community members. Please read them carefully before participating.

📏 Community Rules

1️⃣ Age Requirement

2️⃣ Community Behavior

Be respectful to all members - we want everyone to feel comfortable here. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

3️⃣ NSFW Content Policy

Note

OshiSocial is NOT an NSFW-focused platform. We maintain strict guidelines on adult content.

✅ Encouraged

• Clean and wholesome content
• Creative and artistic work
• Community-friendly posts

⚠️ Requirements

• Sensitive content must be legal in the US
• Must be properly content warned/blurred/marked sensitive
• Cannot comprise the majority of your activity

🚫 Prohibited

• Content comprising most of a user’s activity
• IRL or self-posted explicit content
• Self-harm, abuse against people/children/animals
• Illegal content (under US law)
• NSFW loli/shota (clothed VRC models are acceptable)

4️⃣ No Unsolicited Advances

Respect personal boundaries. Do not send unwanted romantic or sexual messages to other members.

5️⃣ Bot Usage

• Bots must be properly marked as bots
• Bot activity must be non-spammy
• Automated accounts must provide value to the community

6️⃣ Privacy & Safety

No doxxing or sharing private information - This includes real names, addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal information without consent.

7️⃣ Legal Compliance

No content that violates US law. This is non-negotiable and will result in immediate action.

8️⃣ Regional Eligibility

Caution

OshiSocial does not accept registrations from individuals located in or residing in GDPR-covered territories, including the European Union, European Economic Area, and United Kingdom.

By creating an account, you confirm you are not located in or a resident of any GDPR-covered territory.

Note

OshiSocial is a free, non-commercial service run out of the United States by a single individual with no revenue or funding. GDPR compliance for services offering registration to EU/EEA/UK residents requires appointing a formal EU representative - a legal obligation we simply cannot meet at this scale. Restricting registration to non-GDPR territories is the honest and responsible way to handle that limitation rather than ignoring it. If you’re in one of these regions, we’re sorry we can’t accommodate you!

9️⃣ No Violence or Extremism

• No incitement to violence
• No promotion of violent ideologies
• No threatening behavior

🔟 Political Content

Political content requires appropriate content warnings. Keep discussions respectful and constructive.

1️⃣1️⃣ No Spam

No spam accounts, excessive self-promotion, or repetitive content that degrades the user experience.

⚖️ Enforcement

Moderation

• Local feed: Proactively monitored
• Global feed: Reactive monitoring
• Community reports are reviewed promptly

Actions

• Account freezing
• Suspension
• Account deletion
• Staff discretion on grey areas

📧 Appeals Process

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you can appeal by contacting us at help@oshi.social. Please include:

• Your username
• The date of the action
• Your reason for appeal
• Any relevant context

🔄 Content Migration

Tip

If you’re transitioning to creating more sexual content, we encourage you to check our Migration Guides for help moving to servers better suited for NSFW content creators.
