OshiSocial is a fediverse instance created for the English speaking VR Creators who enjoy content creation utilizing platforms such as VRChat and Resonite.

Please be advised that while this community focuses on VR creators, it is not limited to it! General posting is encouraged so long as it abides by our community guidelines as well as US Law where our servers are hosted.

Are we allowed to post content other than VR/VRchat/Resonite?

YES! — While OshiSocial is aimed at VR creators, the reason for this is NOT to limit what you post to VR content. Show us your morning coffee, pet pics, the gym session, whatever you want! The “VR Creator” audience is less about restricting the type of content, and more about building community/culture that understands each other 🥰.

What if I'm just getting started and I don't have any content yet?

No worries! You can sign up on any other instance, and once you have gained some experience and confirmed content creation is for you, we can help you migrate over! OshiSocial allows you to move your account over and bring all your old followers, posts, media! After migration anyone who looks up your old account will also be redirected to your Oshi account!

Why only creators, what about friends, or fans?

It is a tale old as time for fediverse instances to allow more people in than they can handle. Admins become overwhelmed, costs get out of hand, and they struggle to afford staying online. OshiSocial wants to take a responsible approach at staying online and reliable. Thanks to the fediverse, you can connect with friends and fans across any instance! We aim to foster connections among VR creators, artists, modelers, riggers, and other professionals. By prioritizing the core community of the instance for creators rather than a general-purpose platform, we believe we can greatly enhance the experience and maintain a viable model in the long term.
